Course Description & Objectives

ACE Provider Number: IP-26-13065

Marketing is not foreign territory for a BCBA, it is verbal behavior, and once you see it that way, you stop guessing and start applying the science you already know. This course examines how mutual and combinatorial entailment shape the way your audience responds to your message, meaning the words you choose don't just describe your offer, they build a network of relations that determines what your audience thinks and feels every time they encounter your brand again. You'll learn why problem clarity increases the odds that a specific solution gets chosen, framed through discriminative stimuli and response ambiguity. When a problem is vague, the audience has no clear S-delta to rule out competing responses, so they hesitate or pick nothing at all. A well-defined problem functions as a clean discriminative stimulus, narrowing the response class down to the one solution that fits. From there, you'll construct an operational definition of your ideal client using only observable and measurable behavior, the same skill you use daily in an FBA, applied here to who you choose to serve

Explain how mutual and combinatorial entailment influence a practitioner's own marketing behavior and audience response.

Explain why problem clarity increases the likelihood a specific solution gets chosen, in terms of discriminative stimuli and response ambiguity.

Construct an operational definition of an ideal client using observable and measurable behavior.
